We have had to cancel all our gigs. As some of you might know Iain is away to work for a year down south, he is making viagra and other useful drugs. There may be a farewell gig of some sort. There are plans afoot for a new project. The times they are a changin......

So begins another spring time,,,,,, green weed and sore belies.....
Sorry about that, I was struggling with an introduction. I could have started by thanking everyone who came along to our last gig at Sleazy's, but that would have been obvious. I could then have went on and told you how it was a great night and how we enjoyed the sets from Miss The Occupier and A-Lix, but I didn't.
Although I didn't tell you all that, I will tell you that the party back at the flat was great fun. The only interruption coming after some out of time but loud bongo playing by Martin, he was hitting the bongos so hard his hands we like big red cartoon hands, he was playing them so out of time people were wondering if he had been spiked by some new super strength anti-rythem drug.
Recently there has been talk about a trip or weekend in the country. I am very very wary about this. I think nature and all that looks great in photos but in real life,,,,, I'm not sure, all those trees, hills, rivers and stuff,,, sounds a bit weird to me. Still as long as we have a big carry out it might be ok.
Our next gig is in the 13th Note cafe on Sat 5th July with A-Lix and incase your wondering the incohrent intro to this update was based on some lyrics by Donovan that went "So begins another spring time, green leaves and wild cheries" or something,,,, I can't remember what the song was called..... Answers in a poscard......

Its snowing again, the snow doesn't really lye in Glasgow. I think it is almost resigned to turning brown even before it hits the ground. Still it looks kind of nice from the window if you just look at the sky. That's the secret, don't look down, I'm sure that's a quote from a film, but anyway....
On Friday we are playing Pinup Nights in the Beat Club/Sauchihall Street along with Idiotcut, The Just Joans and problem page pop. There is also dj "Heavylight Darkbright" playing after the bands as well as the Pinup Nights DJs. We are thinking this will be another fun night.
On a side note, just to keep things random. I thought I would mention the wee power cut that our block suffered on Thursday night. I imagined that it was a terror attack or Armageddon or something. It wasn't, I don't know what the problem was but it was fixed within the hour. An hour of darkness, I went and had a wee nap, Jamie went to the pub and Garrey light lots of candles. Exciting eh!

Just a quick shout to let you know that our recording at the weekend went well. You can hear all the tracks at our myspace www.myspace.com/theheebiejeebies

It is now two full weeks (or something) since hogmanay. It is probably about time I updated this site, so here it is.
Our last gig was an acoustic gig at the Goat. I thought it was one of the best performances we have played. It was a pity that there was not more people there to see us, infact if it was not for Iain's family and a drunk guy the room could have been,,,, less than busy.
We are now concentrating our efforts towards a new recording in Feb. We will be recording "Little Disease", "Loose Myself" and possibly another song if we have time. We are going back to the "Old Mill Studios" in Strathaven to record. I think Marshall has worked out how to turn the heating on in the place so it should be a lot more comfortable this time round.
The guys from "Solab" are going to do a remix of "Clap Your Hands". I am quite excited about this as I am a fan of there music and production. Solab can be found Dj ing in the Sub club or working with there record label.
We are also working on two new songs, they are called "Laser Gun" and "Phantom in my Dreams". They will be ready for our March gigs - details to come.
Now on to the exciting stuff that you have been waiting to hear about. The party's, the mayhem, the rock and roll, Jamie back flipping over couches at 5 in the morning and attacking Mark with Garrey's new potted plant only to wake up in the morning asking. "Why is the flat covered in Soil?". Garrey saying "I liked that plant" and then going on to talk loudly for the rest of the day knowing that Jamie has a bad Hangover. I think we done a gig that night, just as well we all stayed sensible and were in bed for a reasonable time.
Hogmanay, ehm, yeah, hogmanay, I was there, people tell me I was, so I must have been. On the Thursday after hogmanay when everyone didn’t need a drink to stop shaking we had a wee discussion about hogmanay. The general consensus was - "I cant remember it" Oh well - must have been good!
I feel obliged to mention the great mince pie Jamie made at the weekend. After months of suffering poor quality ready made steak or mince pies from the supermarket Jamie embarked on a bold escapade to make his own "proper" pie. At dinner he discussed the finer details involved in making the pie. The main difference between a "proper" pie and a ready made pie is something to do with puff pastry, Garrey agreed.

Since our the last update we have played two gigs. The last one at Barfly was an acoustic gig. We enjoyed this so much we are going to play another one in The Goat on Sun 9th Dec. There is the slim chance of yet another new song being aired at this gig.
We also have a gig lined up on the 1st Dec back in our home town of Strathaven. We are looking forward to playing in the theatre again and to catching up with some friends.
As you probably know we are not the most business minded of bands and our organizational skills,,,, need to be developed! I personally get mixed up between June and July because they both start with a J and I cant remember any number that has more than 3 digits for more than approximately 4.6 seconds (including my mobile number). As such you have to excuse our lack of "releases", T-shirts and stuff. However, if you want a cd get in touch and we will get one to you.
One of the things we are good at and have a passion for, as regular readers will know, is cooking. Recent experiments in the Heebie Jeebie kitchen by Garrey and Jamie produced two truly outstanding dishes a spicy parsnip soup by Jamie and a fantastic lamb curry by Garrey. Outstanding! Hopefully see some of you at our next gigs.

The Students are back! They all live directly above my bedroom. I can hear them.
What have Garrey, Jamie, Iain and myself been doing since the last update? We all went to the Connect festival and camped out. It is pretty safe to say we had a rare old time. The highlights for me, (the ones I can talk about anyway) were Echo and the Bunneymen, Idlewild and Bjork. It was a pretty crazy weekend.
Jamie and myself also went on a trip to Berlin to check out some electro sounds. Let me just say - Berlin knows how to party! We ended up in a club called Panorama Bar. It was a bit of an eye opener to say the least. If I was to live anywhere in Europe and I could speak German I think I would live in Berlin.
I would mention Iains holidays, but he goes on so many it would probably take up this whole page.
Garrey is away mountain biking this weekend and it only took him two days to pack. Well done Garrey. I say this because it seemed to take Garrey and Jamie about three days to pack for Connect. This freaked me out as I packed in half an hour. I just couldn't shake the feeling that I had forgotten something.
Music wise Iain and Garrey have developed a bass heavy, triplet timeing interest in Dubstep. Expect this to show up as an influence in our new material. Me - I am still caught up in my electro phase. I am not sure what phase Jamie is going through - as long as he is off his Police / Sting phase things will be fine.
Our last gig was at Oran Mor, it went well. Our song "The Coolest Trainers" has been added to a compilation CD which is being given away to Glasgow Uni students and we are in the process of writing another new song. Actually, I think the word "process" might be a bit deceptive as it implies some kind of planed progression of events.....
Our next gig is at King Tuts on Wed the 3rd Oct supporting WHOMADEWHO. Drop us an email if you fancy a ticket.

Just a quick thanks to everyone who came along on Fri night.
We ended up at the Art school afterwards for a electro / techno night called "Numbers". It turned out to be a great wee night
Our next gig is at King Tuts on Wed 3rd Oct supporting WHOMADEWHO

Thanks to everyone who came along to our gig on Sat. Hope you had a good night.
We thought we played ok, apart from mucking up "clap your hands" - oh well....
Music wise it will be a quiet week for us. Mostly my week will involve tidying up the flat, moaning about work, moaning about other bands that are doing better than us and anything else I can think of to moan about.
Garrey is lucky, he will miss out on all this as he is on a mission to Dallas with his work. He is going over there to help the yanks build a teletransporter wireless upload link mechanism - like the one he built in our flat. I think it will have lots of buttons and more importantly, flashing lights.
Jamie has taken a couple of days off work to concentrate on painting. He is preparing for another exhibition. This means that everyone else in the flat has to be careful about which glasses to drink out of. Generally if they smell of turpentine or have blobs of paint in them - they have not to be used for drinking. If you would like to see some of his work he has a web site at http://www.jamiestruth.co.uk
Iain and his brother Mark are moving into a flat across the road from us. Myself, Jamie and Garrey are excited about this as it means there will be a flat warming party and Iain might move his drums from our hall into his own flat. We are going to set up a pulley system between the two facing windows so we can pass cans of tennants etc across to each other. I suggested a tunnel until someone pointed out that both flats are on the top floor and a tunnel wouldn't work.
Our next gig is at Oran Mor on Fri 3rd Aug.

Just a quick update to let you know we have been working on a couple of new songs. I think one of them should be ready for our gig on the 14th July @ Classic Grand. The song is called "Not in Control", it is a bit different for us as Garrey plays the Bass guitar instead of playing the moog. We are looking forward to performing it infront of an audience.
If you want a ticket get intouch with any of the band. Tickets can also be purchased on line at ticketweb.co.uk

Yeah, so we had a wee party on Friday. I think it went quite well. No blood stains, only Buckie stains. No broken bones only a broken plate. No fights, just lights and tights. At one point I was sure the floor was going to cave in. I'm glad it didn't, as are the neighbors below. The flat is now back to its normal clean organized self and our heads are slowly getting there as well.
Thanks to everyone who came along, especially to the DJ's Dave n Joe who done a sterling job.
We are now looking forward to a our gig in Edinburgh at Red's on Friday and to a normal weekend.

Anyone else enjoying this global warming? It might be really bad for future generations but having a barbeque in Kelvingrove park, in a T-shirt, in the sun with a can of cold beer in April feels pretty good to me.... I'm not planning on having kids anyway.
Jamie is having an exhibition of his paintings at the 13th Note Cafe (Clyde Street, Glasgow) on the week begining Mon 14th May. You can go into the cafe at any time to see his work. If you have any more questions feel free to get in touch.
We have just finished recording three songs; "Clap your hands", "Healing touch" and "By now you should know". One or two of them will be on our Myspace for you to check out soon.
Our last gig at box went well, I feel I can say this because there were people we didn't know dancing about and having fun. Also,,,, a drunk guy said to me "Magic, you's were pure magic",,, just before he got thrown out of the pub.
We are in the process of organizing a few more gigs, so keep checking for updates. We have also agreed on a date for our next party! Details soon.
As well as writing music recording and gigging we have also discovered that if you leave Glasgow there are some beautiful scenic places in Scotland with glens and mountains and lochs and trees and everything. Ideal for carry outs.
The Heebie Jeebie base is going through a sort of culinary renaissance. For the last two Sundays in a row Garrey and Iain have been preparing extravagant, delicious tasty, three course meals. So far we have had an avocado starter followed by a lamb mince type dish followed by home made apple crumble and custard. Last night we had a Beetroot and Pear type starter followed by spaghetti Bolognaise followed by home made rhubarb crumble and ice cream. Fantastic, long may this continue, at least, as long as I don't have to make anything.

Our gig supporting Tokyo Police Club was excellent fun. Tickets were sold out and although we were first on, there was a big sweaty crowd to see us.
We seemed to get a positive reaction from the audience, there was even people (dare I say it) dancing! A beautiful sight indeed.
Last night made two sold out, fun filled gigs in a row, a rare but not unwelcome occurrence for us.
We have pencilled in times this weekend to demo up some recordings before going to the studio.
I think we are hoping to record "Clap your Hands" "Healing Touch" "Gonna get a Girlfriend" and "Lesson Number 1".
However,,,,, there have been murmurings about a club night at the Soundhause this weekend. I don't know if we are strong enough to resist this temptation. Surly one weekend without madness is possible? We will see.
Our Next gig is at The Terminal Bar in Glasgow on Sat 10th March – entry is free.

The thing I like most about Winter is the way my flat and especially my room bursts into life. Windows shaking, Roofs creaking, drips dripping (only at night), student neighbors partying (again only at night) and walls making mouse noises. These are the things that make these cold, miserable, dark, damp, dreary, days and nights bearable.
Anyway enough of my starry eyed optimism. Our gig at Tuts supporting Uncle John and Whitelock was great fun. King Tuts was sold out and it was definitely the busiest gig we have played. UJ&W put on an amazing show, I think there will be a few people sad to see them split.
The best part of the night for me was after the bands had played. I was coming out of the dressing room when a blond good looking girl came up to me holding a green T shirt and pen.... She stopped me, and said. "I saw your band, you were really good". She then paused for a bit, held out the T-shirt and pen smiled and said...... "Can you go back into the dressing room and ask the singer from UJ&W to sign this"......
I was also approached by a "promoter" who asked if we had a manager and whether we would like to play a gig at the River Side club in March, no doubt he will want us to sell 100 tickets at £5 a pop, but who knows.
We have decided to put on another flat party/gig in the near future, again - more details to follow.
We are going to demo up some of our more recent songs, the process will start just as soon as all the left over Christmas and New Year booze is finished. All except the sticky half empty bottle of Sainsburys own "brown stuff". We will keep that for guests.
More hot gossip coming soon, cough!

We have two gigs coming up. On the 14th Dec at Miso we are playing with "The Ads" (more details to follow). On Dec the 23rd we are supporting Uncle John and Whitelock at King Tuts. Myself and Jamie are quite excited about this one as we are fans. Tickets are available now. Drop us a line if you fancy one.

It is now Tuesday, four days since the Pin Up Nights gig, three days since Saturday and two days since Sunday. All hangovers have subsided and reality has crept back out from the shadows. We had a great night on Fri, thanks to all who came along.
After our set, a few dances and some beers we went back to the flat and socialized until the wee small hours - Well, Jamie, Garrey and Iain did anyway, I was sober, driving and loaded with the cold. I felt much better on the Sat however (unlike the rest of the Jeebies).
Iain treated us to a home made meal on the Sunday night. It was a bacon, cheese, potato type thing called a "tatty flap" or something? It was delicious, nutritious and finished within 10 minutes. Myself, Jamie and Iain, determined to keep the weekend alive, went to the Goat for some T. I am glad we did because there was an excellent band playing called Dawn of the Replicants - a proper Sunday Treat!
The gig at Barfly on Sat 18th Nov has been cancelled
Our next gig is on Sat 23rd Dec at King Tuts supporting Uncle John and Whitelock
We will have some new images of our recent party taken by Jim Law on the site soon

After a run of busy, exciting and fun filled gigs we knew we would have to play the obligatory, ahem, "quiet" gig! Sunday of all days chose us for this vaguely familiar experience. It is a kind of blessing in a way because if it was a busy fun night I would have had to go out afterwards. This would have ruled out the possibility of me making work on Monday.
However it looks like we will quickly be heading back into busy, exciting, fun filled territory with our next gig. Pin Up Nights on Fri 3rd Nov @ The Woodside Social will feature much fun and excitement with guest DJ Alex James (Blur), live sets from "The Heebie Jeebies", "The Plimtons" "The Nintendos" and further DJ sets from our hosts. Tickets are £7 / £8 from Ticket Scotland.

The Night - Smoke machines, strobe lights, disco lights, guitars, moog's,
drums, booze, pretty girls and munchies.
The Morning - Sore head, general feeling of unwellness, guilty conscience,
empty cans, cigarette ends, beer stains, bad breath and dog shit on the
close banister. Does the night justify the morning? I would say so. It
was a pretty good party!
Our next gig is on Sun 22nd Oct at a club night at the Classic Grand. More details when we get them.

After Sundays Your Sound Showcase gig, I went home, had a herbal tea and went to bed, I was working the next day. Jamie, Garrey and Iain (the very drunk) decided to go to Optimo instead. They then came back to the flat and had a party until 6am in the Morning. All I could hear throughout the night were insane ramblings, shouts of "wake the girls upstairs, they have vodka" and the odd hysterical squeal / laugh. Having an early night done me absolutely no good at all. At least Jamie had the decency to feel like shit for two days as opposed to my one day of feeling shit.
The gig went very well apart from the bass pedal breaking in the first song. After the gig we were asked by some promoters to play at there club night. So that was nice.
The CD given away by the Your Sound guys was very good. I listened to it at work on Monday and enjoyed all of the tracks. I suggest you get your hands on a copy.
We are having Partig (combination of party and gig) on Sat night. In preparation, that thing in the corner of the hall called a hoover or something will burst into noisy life at some point before Sat, this will indeed be exciting!
Written by Adam on 25/08/06
We have some details about The Heebie Jeebies party and about the Your Sound Showcase.
Other bands playing at the Your Sound Launch on Sun 1st October include The Yellow Bentines, The Invisibles, North Atlantic Oscillations and some special guests. The gig is free to enter and starts at 7pm in the upstairs bar. There will also be a compilation CD of past Your Sound bands given away - first come first served!
Our party is at Heebie HQ the following Sat. There will be live interactive art, robots, break dancing, cocktails and shmocktails. We will also be playing a short set at some point in the night. Get in touch if you fancy coming along.

The Heebie Jeebies have been savoring the last days of "not winter". Recently Garrey cycled from Strathaven to Glasgow - no, he did, honestly! Jamie made a salad - and talked about barbeques. Iain drank some of his exotic liquor from Africa and I ventured out the house before 4pm last Sat - it felt fine.
We also went to the Indian Summer festival and got sociable, (probably to sociable for the very subdued, indier than thou crowd). I think we were the only people who tried to smuggle drink into the festival, (we got caught - "I doesn't smell like cola, it smells like ,,,,,,,,,"). I have heard it said you don't need booze or drugs to enjoy yourself, but not by anyone that looked like they were having fun (or who wasn't a Hari Christina). We spent most of the time in one of the tents, standing outside in the open just didn't feel natural.
Anyway, last nights gig at the Barfly went well, we are now planning our secret party / gig. We will let you know the details soon.
We are also playing on the 1st Oct in King Tus as part of the Your Sound Showcase. More details when we get them.
Written by Adam on 23/08/06
Iain is back from his expedition to the dark continent, bringing with him many mysterious storys, relics, rare poisons and various percussive instruments including a shaker, another smaller broken shaker and a bongo drum (or gembie, as he prefers to call it).
Myself, Garrey and Jamie have not been to Africa. However Garrey has been mountain biking, I went to the Barras and Jamie bought a really big Mango from the supermarket.
We have recently been offered loads of gigs by various parties but we have decided to put on our own free party/gig some time in Oct instead. We will let you know more details when we get this finalized.
Remember to say hello if you come along to the Barfly gig.
Written by Adam 03/08/06
Myself, Jamie and Garrey had been practising all week for our accoustic gig at the Goat. We were looking forward to the gig and made an intelligent, informed and unanimous decision to not go out drinking on the Sat night before it. We made this decision on Thursday night. By Sat night it didn’t seem so intelligent, informed or unanimous to myself and Jamie.
After attending a family function on Saturday night where the need for alchohol in any form was real and immediate, Jamie and myself went up to the Art School for one or two quick drinks,,,,,
We bumped into Bjorn and Erik (they were putting on the night at the Goat). They didn’t seem to be making any attemp to stay sober, in fact it looked like they were trying to achieve the opposite effect. This seemed like an idea and we decided to follow there example. Hangovers and shaky hands all round then on Sunday.....
The gig went well apart from one small incident. R***, who was also playing decided to come onstage half way through one of our songs and take his equipment from us. We had our own equipment but he agreed that we could use some of his to cut down on set-up times between acts. We thought the intrusion on his part was a little inconsiderate and discourteous.
Apart from that a good night was had and we would like to thank Tony for the sound, Bjorn and Erik for giving us the gig and everyone who came along to see us.
Iain is now in Africa where he is building small mud huts, swatting fly's and selling ball point pens to the locals. Apparently ball point pens are highly sought after in Africa.
Our next gig is on Fri 8th Sept at Caledonian Backpackers in Edinburgh.
Written by Adam 17/07/06
Thursdays gig, aye, we enjoyed it! Our set went well and we were happy to see so many familiar faces there. Thanks to everyone who came along.
Jamie and Iain went out afterwards to a club, it seems they thought it would be funny to tape some foreign person to his seat or something. The foreign person didn’t like it and apparently the bouncer in the club didn’t see the funny side either..... Some people eh!
I went home early as I was flying off to Sweden in the morning. I had a great time. I think Garrey also left quite early as he was working the next morning.
We are now looking forward to our acoustic gig at the Goat on Sun 30 July. We are working on a totally new set for this gig and we will be showcasing some new songs.
There is also another new song on the cards for our non acoustic gigs, it has a working title of "When I was a kid I had a laser gun" or "Laser Gun" for short. It has been sounding good during rehearsals.
If you are looking for an excuse for a little Sunday social, why not come along and join us at The Goat on Sun 30th? Mabe see you there....
Written by Adam 28/06/06
A big thanks to everyone who came along to the gig at Sleazys on the 8th. A great night was had by all, we enjoyed watching Miss The Occupier and Red Strike. The singer from Miss The Occupier gave me a vinyl of there new single, I think someone might have picked it up by accident,,,,, give me it back please!
Our next gig is at The Liquid Lounge on Thur 13 July. Our freinds from Strathaven "The Black Rats" are also playing the gig, should be an excellent night. Just drop us a line or get in touch for a ticket.
A couple of Sundays ago Garrey, Jamie and myself went down to King Tuts for the Your Sound event. This provided a good opportunity for the obligatory "Sunday Social". We did however find it a bit weird sitting there listening to our own music (Little Disease). Weird, but strangely enjoyable! We promised ourselves we would have a pint, obviously we ended up having more than one........
You can download a copy of our song "Art School Students" for a limited period over at Ragtime, I think we are featured in some kind of chart over there as well.
We will be working on some new material over the summer, I am looking forward to this as we are going to try writing in a different way from normal - sitting down!
Written by Adam 23/05/06
European cup finals eh! On the same night as our wee charity gig in Stereo! Hmmph, I heard it was a rubbish game anyway, besides I didnt even want to watch it, I didn't want to watch Henrick Larson setting up two goals, I didn't want to watch it I tell ya!
Despite having to compete with that football final thingy the gig was a great success, profits of over £150 will be going directly to The Michael Project. A big thanks to the guys from Stereo, The Dick Van Dykes, Das Contras and everyone who came along for there contributions.
Our next gig is @ Nice n Sleazys on Thur the 8th June. As far as I know there are no major events (on TV or otherwise) sharing the same date. I'm sure this will be looked into and amended by the powers that be soon enough though.
We are also featured in this months ragtime chart- you can download "The coolest Trainers" from there site.
Now on to something more domestic but no less exciting. Jamie has had a major success in The Heebie Jeebies kitchen. He recently made a cream< of parsnip soup, the soup was creamy, tasty and nutritious. This new recipe has put myself and Garrey under some serious pressure to improve our culinary skills. Garrey seems to be settling in the flat very well, his additions to the herb and spice collection make our kitchen shelf look very impressive indeed.
Hope to see you all at the sleazys gig!
Written by Adam 05/05/06
Its ok, don't panic, don't fret, we are still here, still playing xbox, drinking tea and eating pasta and of course, making some music as well!
I suppose there are some bits and pieces that could count as gossip since our last hedonistic update. I will try to detail each one for you.
First of all, we recorded three songs at our friend Marshalls Old Mill Studios. We recorded the songs live and we were impressed by the recording set up and by the final results.
You can hear two of the songs @ http://www.myspace.com/theheebiejeebies
We were chosen by "Your Sound" to be artist of the month at there recent event in king Tuts.
We have another new song "Walk with Kain", which should be ready for our next gig at Stereo on the 17th May. Iain is going to work in Zimbawae in Aug with the Michael Project. So all profits from our Stereo gig are going to this charity. I have been listening to allot of Nick Cave and Tom Waits, if only I had a Tom Waits or Nick Cave voice.....
Now on to more domestic maters. Garrey (guitarist / moog) is moving into the same flat as myself and Jamie, this should be a good thing for the band as we will be able to write allot more - Garrey is a good cook as well - no offence to Gary W who is moving in with his girlfriend ;-)
As some of you may know, I have stopped smoking. I have not had a cigarette for about 15 weeks and I now consider myself to be a non smoker.
As a result of not smoking I have much more energy. What have I been doing with this new found energy I hear you ask?
I have taken to cleaning the flat and cooking proper meals. I can now spot a crumb on the kitchen floor from the hall and I can cook three different types of soup, yes I know - rock and roll!
Next I am going to stop binge drinking at the weekends, being depressed untill Friday and Im going to take up a new sport, then I will be happy well adjusted and,,,, not in this band lol.
If you like The Stooges and New Order drop us a line asking for a CD of the recently recorded song "Ambulances", you are almost guaranteed to like it!

In this update I will be bringing you various important facts and some vital pieces of information.
After our gig at Sleazys on Sunday myself, Garrey, Jamie and Iain came back to mine and Jaime's flat. Dom made his way back to Strathaven.
When back at the flat we each had a plate of pasta that Jamie had prepared earlier. We also had a cup of cinnamon tea. Garrey (the rebel) had two cups of tea and Iain (the adventurous) put honey in his tea. Myself and Jamie stuck to the one plain cinnamon tea. We could only look on with admiration at the hedonism being displayed by Garrey and Iain.
The pasta was very nice and we would like to thank the people who invented pasta for doing so.
When leaving the flat Garrey pointed out that there were 867 steps between his flat and our flat - he counted them! I personally think he might be loosing the plot a little, but anyway.
Iain found this piece of information interesting and he to decided to count the number of steps from our flat to his flat. He also timed the journey.
There are 1435 steps between myself and Jamie's flat and Iain's flat. It takes 12 minutes and 10 seconds to get there. I would like to publicly thank Iain for waking me up at 2.30 in the morning with a text message to let me know this important discovery. I slept much better with this knowledge. Thanks Iain.
In the next update I will be telling a truly spooky story concerning a cursed voodoo stick some new neighbors and a flat "warming" gift.
We are recording some new tracks in the next two weeks and we will have some more gigs to announce soon.
There are some more photos added from the last Barfly gig - Thanks Jim for taking them and getting them to us. Still no photos of Dom........

It's a Funny time, Christmas and New Year. Meeting friends and family that you haven't seen in ages, talking to them for hours and then waking up not remembering a thing about the previous evening. Funny and kind of scary. I always feel like I offended someone.
Our gig at Barfly on the 29th, it was definitely not out best performance. Jamie had the Flu of all Flues, I had a sore throat, Garrey was coming down with a cold and the onstage sound was awful. We aim to be much better next time. Although it was not our best gig I would like to add, Dom (first gig with us) played excellent. Thank you to everyone who came along, much appreciated.
We will have some new gigs to announce very soon. There will also be some new photos added to the images page..

If you have been to some of our recent gigs you might have noticed the lack of a bass player. After a relaxed and productive Jam on Fri - we would like to welcome Dom into our fold. You will be able to see Dom giging for the first time with us on Fri 30th Dec at the Glasgow Barfly. Dom also plays bass with some of our friends called "The Dirty Mac".
To receive special discount tickets for this gig please drop us an email.
To anyone who has recently seen either myself or Jamie..... Yes we both have black eyes. No were were not fighting each other. In-fact we were not fighting at all and neither were the four guys on Sauchihall St, they were just throwing punches and kicks, I think the term "fighting" requires two participating, but opposing parties...... Co-Codamol rocks!
Hopefully we will see you at Barfly on the 30th. Have a fun over the festive season.

Our gig at Caledonian Backpackers was great fun, we would like to thank the guys at Baby Tiger for putting us on.
After the gig we managed to "socialize" until the wee small hours (7am). Not a particularly good idea considering we had to check out at 10.30am. For various reasons we could not drive back to Glasgow until 5pm. We decided to wander around edinburgh for the rest of the day. We took a few photos, I will put them on the site soon.
Our next gig is at the QMU on Thur 8th Dec. We are looking forward to this gig and hope to showcase another new song.
The good thing about Caledonian Backpackers is all the people you meet, lots of travelers, vagabonds and general nutters. The bad thing about it for me is - every time I go I catch a cold - cough! I love Mondays.

We would like to thank everyone for coming along to the Superfly gig on Sat, we had a great time and hopefully we will be playing at Superfly again sometime in the future.
Next Saturday we are in Edinburgh for a gig at Caledonian Backpackers. We have booked rooms so we can spend the night and have some fun after we play.
The address of Caledonian Backpackers is:
Caledonian Backpackers, 3 Queensferry St, Edinburgh EH2 4PA

On the gossip front........ Myself and Jamie have conceded to the cold weather and turned on the heating in the flat (£££). Lighting as many candles as possible in every room wasn't creating as much heat as expected, it was also becoming a bit of a fire hazard.
After the gig on Sat all four of us indulged in some severe rock and roll antics..... Iain went to bed, Myself, Jamie and Garrey watched Lord of the Rings - Return of the King, again. To keep the spirit of Rock n Roll alive - I made myself drink a strong coffee in the morning.......
Maybe see some of you at Backpackers on Sat.

Our gig at the GU, what can I say? It was a captive audience? It was a selective audience? The audience was understated? Well, the bar man said he thought we were good and nobody left when we started playing. We played our new set, the songs went down well with the people that were there and we are now looking forward to the night at Superfly on Sat 19th Nov.
Jamie is off to Poland this week but he will be back in time for some quick rehearsals before the Superfly gig. Recently he is quoted as saying "I will never get my hair cut again".
Iain got himself a new jacket, it is a winter jacket and is kinda cool. I think he went to a fireworks night on Sat as well.
Garrey has been working in England allot developing some super, high-tech, blue-tooth, thingy. He described to me what it does but I am under oath never to repeat it to anyone, such is the nature of corporate espionage these days.
As Jamie is away in Poland this week, myself and my flatmate Gary have been forced to cook for ourselves, this has resulted in some interesting results. I have tried to tell Gary that just because something is called "Mince and Potatoes", it doesn't mean that those are the only two ingredients that should go into the meal - tasty!
Hopefully see some of you at the Superfly gig on the 19th.

First of all we would like to thank everyone who came along to Barfly on Fri 14th to see us. We thought we played reasonably well despite a few technical problems. All in all, a good night.
After the gig we hung about for the Funhouse club night. Myself and Jamie ended up in the youth hostel down the road. We stayed there till about 6 in the morning drinking some beers and talking to people from Aberdeen who were in town to see The Arctic Monkeys. We also met some folks from Switzerland who are currently staying in Scotland. Jamie informed them on some interesting places to visit in Glasgow.....
Since the gig we have been working on a few more songs that will fit into our live set a bit better. These songs should be ready for our next gig at the GUU.
Myself, Jamie and Iain have been going through a kind of 'Xbox" period. This has involved buying "Prince of Persia" and "Spartan Total Warrior" for the Xbox and staying up all hours to see who can complete them first. We have had many in depth discussions about the merits of these games and have concluded that social interaction is overrated......... e.g. ("What? Yeah! Whatever!" - eyes drift back towards TV screen - Flatmate storms out rejected and pissed off slamming the door on the way out!)
Who says Rock and Roll is dead?

Hmm, not much really to report on but I will do my best.
Iain is now back from Australia, he had a great time and is now ready to start gigging recording and heebie jeebieing again. He brought us back some white Marlborough Lights (which I appreciated) and some Jack Daniel's - which he drank himself.
Jamie is now 3 weeks into his new job and his hands are still in one piece, which is a good thing as he is plays guitar in the band. He is saving up for a brand new American Telecaster. I have seen and played the guitar he is purchasing, let me assure you, it is pure sex!
Garrey is also back from his journey round the more unexplored countrys of Europe. He reports that the beer was cheap, the beer was good and there was lots of different types of beer. He also mentioned the country side, architecture and stuff like that.
I have been growing my hair and sleeping allot. However, I have learned how to cook fish, make soup and I have purchased a coffee canteen (for making filtered coffee). I have used this item once. I have also decorated my bedroom, i.e. I bought a throw from the Barras and found the time and energy to pin it on my wall. The room looks much better now.
Hopefully this section will be more interesting in the future....
